Beginning today, the Maryland Live! Casino will now stay open for 24 hours welcoming the best of Baltimore's night owls and early birds to this new entertainment destination any time throughout the day.
Closed for the last time earlier this morning at 2 a.m. the Maryland Live! Casino was opened one last time at 8 a.m. by Robert Norton, president and general manager of Maryland Live, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
Maryland Live! Casino opened in June 2012 and immediately struck a modicum of success in the greater Baltimore area. In less than a month, the new Baltimore casino decided to add over 500 slot machines, electronic table machines, and more to make it one of the biggest of its kind in the country.
The massive facility takes up over 12 acres, employs over 1,500 workers, and costed an estimated $500 million to build. Predictions show that the casino will generate about $400 million in annual tax revenue which will go directly towards supporting the Maryland school system.
