About Towson
Beginning development around 1750 by two brothers, William and Thomas Towson, this community grew to be the county seat for the Baltimore County government. Although it is also home to Towson University and Goucher College, Towson is not just a college town. You will find Towson Town Center, a large 4 story shopping mall, a variety of shops, restaurants, theaters, bars and clubs, parks, and many outdoor activities. Light Rail travel to and from Baltimore City, BWI, and to areas south of Baltimore.
