As St. Patrick's Day 2013 quickly approaches, Annapolis businesses, residents, and visitors are gearing up to celebrate this famous Irish holiday with an assortment of events, parties, and more to commemorate.
One of the biggest St. Patrick's Day events in Annapolis will surely be the First Annual Annapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade, set to take place on Sunday, March 10 in the heart of Downtown Annapolis.
Kicking off at 1 p.m., this family friendly parade will travel from West Gate Circle along West Street down Main Street and end at the City Dock.
This traditional St. Patrick's Day Parade will feature a handful of floats as well as traditional Irish bagpipers, dancers, and more travelling through the city for all to enjoy free of cost.
Of course, all the great bars and restaurants including some of the best Irish Pubs in Annapolis will be open for business, serving up an assortment of great Irish beers, cuisine, live entertainment, and good times.
Speaking of those great Annapolis Irish Pubs, the famous Galway Bay Irish Pub is gearing up to host its first annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee fundraiser this Saturday, March 2.
Kicking off at 12 p.m., this Irish-themed celebration is the place to be for a full day of fun and entertainment featuring live Irish music, great drinks from the bar, traditional Irish fare, and more, all benefitting the new Annapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee.
